Hi everyone!
If you’re not in Seattle/PNW please scroll down a bit and your patience will be rewarded.
BOOKLUCK! is a small press and bookmaker picnic potluck: Sunday May 15th 3:30-7:30pm at Ravenna Park Picnic Shelter #1 in Seattle.
Do you make books, zines, comics or other publications, work in publishing, or small press? Let’s talk books, have a picnic potluck, and meet friends! We had a great time last fall, and we’re doing it again! You're invited!!
More info and RSVP at bit.ly/bookluck
Bring your favorite picnic food and drink. Bring picnic blankets or folding chairs or tables if you want. Do you have extra zines, books, comics, pamphlets, or other print stuff that you want to trade or give away to a new home? Bring them to the potluck for the free/trade tables! Bring yourself!
Organized by me (Amelia Greenhall), Jayme Yen and Tom Eykemans of Seattle Art Book Fair, Summer Li, and Kelly Froh of Short Run!
Here’s a link to an instagram post about it, if you’d like to share with friends!

Print Broadside
We at ANEMONE are working on an experimental print broadside.
Do you have a classified advertisement or other notice that you’d like to publish?
Or a comic or illustration?
Or a paragraph-long recommendation a zine, book, or just something to recommend in general? (Please feel free to advertise or recommend your own work/events/stuff!)
Or do you have a poem? Or a climate crisis thought? Or a photo?
It is free to submit but no guarantees on what will get included. Space is limited and we’re still trying to figure out what shape it will take! Submit ASAP because we’re aiming to have copies to give out at Bookluck! And that’s not too far from now, really.
Other news
The first sighting of Spectrolite used for offset color separations in the wild for Civilization newspaper! Very cool.
We’ve been reprinting Sensitive and Bike Rambles around Seattle this week:
And we’re getting close on the zine about getting started with making electronic music! AND the Drink Books zine is in the layout stages too. About to put the Stitch ‘n Fold B2000 machine to use! Yeah! It’s gonna be so happy. (Also, we just fixed a relay switch on it so now we don’t have to take the side panel off to turn the machine on. Exciting times.)
Find our zines at Elliott Bay and Left Bank bookstores in Seattle. And online for US shipping for just the Studio Process Journal and the pamphlets residency bundle. (Making good progress on adding the rest of the zines + international shipping to our online shop!)
Ok, that’s it. As usual, please write back by replying to this email (or find our PO Box address in one of our zines) if you would like to correspond.
Hope to see you at BOOKLUCK on Sunday May 15th!! Please RSVP at bit.ly/bookluck and invite your friends!
