Mostly just writing to give you a heads up that the zine popup at Drink Books, my friend Kim Kent’s books and natural wine shop, is open through Sunday May 22nd, 1-7pm. Get in there, Seattle people—it’s full of beauty and delight!
It’s been a busy last month or so in the studio. We hosted Bookluck, the zine popup, and we made a bunch of zines:

I’ve been very motivated to release projects before the summer starts. The weather starts getting better and the days get longer and I feel the pull to finish up what’s been in the works that’s close enough to wrap up. This summer I am going to avoid having project deadlines or commitments as much as I can, and spend as much time as possible outside. I want to swim in lakes, go down rivers in the inflatable kayak, go mountaineering and alpine climbing, go on a bike tour, soak in a hot spring, visit the sea anemones in the tidepools, spend time with friends and family. I do plan to make a new photograph-based zine or two for the Photographic Center Northwest book and zine fair in July, where we’ll have a table. I’m aiming to just play and see what comes up, and have a rest time to refill my creative energy this summer.
I’ll have to tell you all more about all the new zines and publications later! For now, here’s a look at some of the interior of Climate Emergency Reading Recs during the printing process:
If you’d like to head up to Phinney Ridge in the next few days: the zines are in Drink Books from 1-7pm through Sunday! 💙 Drink Books is at 59th and Phinney, next to the pie store and across from the zoo, on the 5 bus line. Also, if you go up there, I really like the pastry or breakfast (all day) tacos at Fresh Flours, the tea or pastry at Coyle’s Bakeshop, the Greenwood library is really a pretty one, and Seattle Recreative is definitely worth a stop.
