In November 2023, RISO Pacific Northwest's first print edition of 325 (or was it 350?) went out in the world at Short Run. Six short months later, after Seattle Art Book Fair… it is out of print! Fear not: You can now get a copy of the digital edition (PDF and epub), starting at $2. 🥰
RISO WEST COAST
NEXT UP: we’re making a new, expanded edition: RISO West Coast — likely in Fall 2024, and with the help of Alexander Matthews!
RISO West Coast will highlight risograph focused printshops, community spaces, publishers, artists, events, zine libraries and shops across the northern West Coast: California, Oregon, Washington, BC, Yukon Territory, Alaska, Hawaii, Baja California and Baja California Sur.
Please submit things to go in the next edition of the catalog!!
The goal is a print and digital catalog to spread the word about all the cool things going on with risograph based printing, zines and small press publishing, with a specific focus on helping people find places to print, get started publishing, buy and sell zines, and make artist friends.
We’re looking for:
Printshops & Community Spaces
Risograph-Based Publishers & Presses
NEW! Individual Artists Working with Risograph
Zine and Art Book Fairs, and Events
Zine Libraries
Places to Buy and Sell Zines
Other riso-related things you think people need to know about
You can submit something you’re involved in, or submit something cool you know about! Think of it as a curated combo of an old school catalog, the classifieds, an event listing calendar, and a city guide.

P.S. — It’s a huge help to spread the word, by sending the submission form or forwarding this newsletter to friends who might want to submit something too!
P.P.S. — This might be our last newsletter for a little while, since Adam and I are about to take off for some more PCT hiking! (SOMEONE has to collect all those lichen pictures.) Also, I made a new top-of-mind post on my personal blog about summer intentions, hiking self care, creative projects.
